At Primary Eyecare Associates we are passionate about the eyesight and eye health of every patient! We are committed to enhancing the quality of life by assuring that each patient is achieving the best possible vision while safeguarding ocular health. Our doctors and staff are friendly, professional and dedicated to pursuing the highest standards of quality care through the latest continuing education and by providing a full scope of optometric care, from eye care to eyewear. Our goal is to earn and keep our patients' trust by providing services with the utmost of integrity, compassion, and professionalism in a friendly, caring and comfortable environment.
Meet the Optometrists
Dr. Seema Nechel is a true local. She grew up in Northern Virginia and has been in the area since 1973. She graduated from George Mason University with a degree in Bachelor of Science. She then went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, now known as Salus University, in Philadelphia. Dr. Nechel has enjoyed private practice and providing eye health and vision care since 1996.
Dr. Nechel is a highly experienced and passionate optometrist. Her professional interests are primary care, contact lenses, diagnosis, treatment, management of ocular disease and the co-management of ocular surgeries, including cataracts and LASIK. She also has a passion for natural health and wellness options as well as holistic living and integrative medicine. Her priority is giving time to her patients
to help take care of their needs. She is active in her profession and a member of the American Optometric Association, Virginia Optometric Association, and the Northern Virginia Optometric Association.
Dr. Nechel resides in Northern Virginia with her husband and two children. Her interests outside optometry are her family, reading, holistic wellness and the outdoors.
Dr. Lori Butler graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of South Dakota with a B.S. in Biology. She earned her doctorate degree from The Ohio State University College of Optometry. She then completed an optometric residency at Capital Eye Consultants, a secondary eye care referral center in Fairfax, Virginia, sponsored by the New England College of Optometry. Northern Virginia has been her home since 1994. When she isn’t working, she enjoys traveling, hiking, biking, playing piano, and spending time with her family and friends. Dr. Butler has extensive experience in fitting contact lenses and looks forward to helping you and your family with all your eye care needs.
